Wow, you're all over embedding video! (This is what happens when I comment first, then read *all* the posts later. Isn't there some lesson here about listening before you talk? :-) Isn't it crazy fun? Thanks for the video!
I'm not sure about the practical uses for SL. Hopefully more will come out as the years go by. It's pretty fascinating to explore a virtual library. I just chatted with an avatar for a librarian at the National Library of Amsterdam. How cool is that? His english was quite good.
SL is pretty awesome. I hope that there will be increasing development in finding practical library uses for it. It's too cool not to. I just chatted with an avatar of a librarian at the National Library in Amsterdam. His english was quite good.

I am a 40-something female librarian at the Southern Maryland Regional Library. My "thing" library-wise is cataloging, which is why my blog is named after the patron saint of catalogers, St. Minutia. Notice how she is splitting a hair in her picture.
I am currently working on adopting a little girl from Guatemala, so that is the biggest thing going on in my life right now.

Wow yourself! You sure did comment fast on my post!
I'm having too much fun doing the 23 Things. I'm going to miss it when it's finished.
Even though I heard that there is now a Library 2.1 "Thing" list too! I might just find that and work on it too!
